AT A GLANCE
1440p ITX gaming PC
Ryzen 7 7700 + MSI RTX 5070 12 GB
Fractal Design Era 2 Grey
SGD $3,720
This ITX small form factor PC build in Singapore fits an MSI RTX 5070 12 GB and AMD Ryzen 7 7700 inside the Fractal Design Era 2 Grey, a compact aluminium Mini-ITX case with a desk footprint far smaller than a standard mid-tower, priced at $3,720 SGD. The Era 2 uses a brushed aluminium exterior and a mesh top panel for passive and active airflow in a chassis that sits at around 11 litres of internal volume.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 is an 8-core, 16-thread Zen 4 AM5 processor. It runs on the AM5 socket, the same platform used by higher-tier chips like the Ryzen 9800X3D, so a CPU upgrade later is possible without a motherboard change. The MSI B850i Edge Ti Wi-Fi 7 is a Mini-ITX motherboard (170 mm x 170 mm) with onboard Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and dual M.2 slots in a compact layout that suits the Era 2's dimensions.
Mini-ITX cases impose a cooler height limit, so this build uses the Thermalright AXP90-X47, a 47 mm-tall low-profile air cooler built for compact enclosures. Power delivery is through a Thermalright SFX (Small Form Factor PSU) 850 W 80+ Gold Black, a short-body PSU format designed for ITX cases where a full-size ATX unit will not fit. Memory is 32 GB of T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 at 6000 MHz CL30. Storage is a Lexar NM790 2 TB NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) Gen 4 SSD for fast load times.

PERFORMANCE
The RTX 5070 is a 1440p GPU. In Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail, it scores 153 FPS at 1440p. Resident Evil 4 runs at 152 FPS, Dying Light 2 at 106 FPS, and Starfield at 83 FPS, all at 1440p based on GamersNexus benchmark testing.
The RTX 5070 draws around 230 W TGP (Total Graphics Power) under gaming load. The Thermalright SFX 850 W PSU runs well below capacity at that draw. NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation is supported on the RTX 5070 and available in a growing number of titles, pushing frame counts above the native numbers listed above. The 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM covers 1440p gaming with high texture settings in current titles.
The Ryzen 7 7700 does not carry the 3D V-Cache of the higher-tier 9800X3D, but at 1440p and above, frame rates are predominantly GPU-bound. For a build at this price point and in this form factor, the 7700 and RTX 5070 together produce consistent frame rates across current titles at 1440p High-Refresh Rate Gaming settings.
At 1440p, the RTX 5070 delivers a 22% performance uplift over the RTX 4070, with overall performance roughly similar to the RTX 4070 Ti.
