SilverStone RM23-502 2U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM23-502 is a 2U general-purpose rackmount chassis for servers and workstations. Supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX boards with 2 x 5.25" external, 5 x 3.5" internal and 1 x 2.5" internal. Four fan mounting positions and seven low-profile PCI/PCIe slots support configurable cooling and expansion.

Can I use hot-swap drives in the RM23-502?

No. The 3.5" and 2.5" internal bays are fixed mounts, not hot-swap. If you need hot-swap capability, the RM21 or RM22 series provide dedicated SAS backplanes and hot-swap trays.

What can I install in the two 5.25" bays?

The RM23-502 provides two external 5.25" bays for compatible optical drives and other bay-mounted accessories. These bays can accommodate suitable removable storage devices or legacy hardware, depending on accessory dimensions and installation requirements.

What is the CPU cooler height limit?
