SilverStone RM41-506 4U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM41-506 is a 4U rackmount chassis with 6 x 5.25" external bays for optical or legacy devices. Supports ATX and CEB boards with 4 x 3.5" internal bays, full-height PCIe cards, and standard ATX PSU compatibility.

Who it suits

• Builds needing optical or legacy devices benefit from six external 5.25" bays, providing flexible installation options for compatible storage enclosures and other 5.25" devices.
• Full-height PCIe cards up to 426mm long fit when the 5.25" cage is removed, with 7 standard-profile expansion slots for multi-card setups.
• Builders can use compatible ATX PS2 or Mini Redundant power supplies up to 200mm deep, with 2U Redundant PSU support on RM41-506 V2.0 or later.
• Not for hot-swap NAS builds (no SAS backplane). Not for E-ATX or SSI-EEB boards. If you need more 3.5" bays, choose the RM400 instead.

Before you buy

• Check motherboard compatibility before ordering. The RM41-506 supports CEB, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, but not E-ATX or SSI-EEB.
• CPU cooler clearance is 130mm with the expansion card retainer installed, or 148mm without it. Check your cooler height before buying.
• The front 80mm fan is not included and must be purchased separately. Two rear 80mm fans are included.

What is the difference between RM41-506 and RM400?

RM41-506 has 6 x 5.25" bays (vs 3) but fewer 3.5" bays (4 vs 8). It is also shallower (446mm vs 469mm) and lighter (9.7 vs 10.8 kg). Choose RM41-506 for optical/legacy device-heavy setups, RM400 for more internal storage.

Can I fit a full-length graphics card?

The RM41-506 supports expansion cards up to 278mm long with the 5.25" drive cage installed, or up to 426mm when the cage is removed. Check your graphics card dimensions and cooling clearance before purchasing.

Are fans included with the RM41-506?

Only the 2 x 80mm rear fans are included. The front 80mm fan slot is empty. You need to supply your own front fan for full airflow.
