SilverStone RM47-502-I 4U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM47-502-I is a 4U rackmount chassis with 11 front-accessible expansion slots for one big graphics card plus many add-in cards. It takes SSI-EEB boards and fits a rear radiator up to 280mm. Local Singapore warranty support through Mansa.

Who it suits

• If you run one high-end consumer GPU alongside NICs, HBAs or capture cards, you get 3 vertical standard-height slots plus 8 low-profile slots.
• Front-facing expansion slots and I/O let you reach your cards without pulling the chassis out of the rack.
• Liquid-cooled builds fit a rear radiator up to 280mm, or two 120mm, 140mm or 160mm fans.
• Less suitable for multi-GPU configurations. SilverStone positions the RM47-502-I for one high-end consumer graphics card alongside multiple expansion cards, while the RM46-502-I supports up to four server-grade GPUs.

Before you buy

• CPU cooler height drops to 114mm when a graphics card sits in the standard-height slots. It is 148mm with those slots empty.
• Card width is 167mm for standard-height slots and 142mm for low-profile slots. Cards can be up to 437mm long without rear fans or a radiator.
• PSU plus any 5.25" device must total 430mm or less. 2U Redundant PSUs need RM47-502-I V2.0 or later.

What is the difference between the RM47-502-I and RM46-502-I?

Both share the same 440 × 176 × 456mm external dimensions. The RM47-502-I has 8 low-profile and 3 vertical standard-height slots for one high-end consumer GPU, while the RM46-502-I has 8 standard-height slots for up to four server-grade GPUs. CPU cooler clearance, expansion-card width limits and chassis weight also differ.

Does the RM47-502-I come with rack rails?

SilverStone lists the RMS05-22 slide rail as compatible. The spec sheet does not say rails are in the box, so treat them as separate unless we confirm otherwise.
