SilverStone RM61-312 6U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM61-312 is a 6U rackmount chassis that pairs 12 hot-swap drive trays with room for three 360mm radiators. It takes SSI-EEB boards, two power supplies and 8 expansion slots, so one box can handle storage and liquid-cooled compute. Local Singapore warranty support through Mansa.

Who it suits

• If your server stores data and runs hot GPUs, 12 front hot-swap trays sit under a cooling layout that takes three 360mm radiators.
• Drives connect through a 12 Gb/s Mini-SAS HD backplane with SGPIO, and take 2.5" SSDs or 3.5" HDDs in SAS or SATA.
• Power-hungry builds can use a primary ATX, Mini Redundant or 2U Redundant PSU alongside a second ATX power supply.
• Not ideal for graphics cards longer than 340mm. The RM52 offers more GPU length, but its maximum 512mm clearance requires removing front cooling components and the internal radiator bracket.

Before you buy

• SAS drives need a SAS controller. The backplane uses 3 x Mini-SAS HD SFF-8643 connectors, 4 drives each.
• CPU cooler height is 132mm with the GPU holder installed, or 150mm without it.
• Only the 2 x 80mm rear fans are included. Plan to add your own front, side and internal fans or radiators.

What is the difference between the RM61-312 and RM600?

SilverStone built the RM61-312 on the RM600 design. The bottom 2U of the front panel becomes 12 hot-swap drive trays with a Mini-SAS HD backplane. The RM600 has a perforated front there and 6 x 3.5" internal bays instead.

Does the RM61-312 come with rack rails?

SilverStone lists the RMS09-20 sliding rail as compatible with the RM61-312. Rack rails are not confirmed as included. Please contact Mansa Computers to confirm availability before ordering.
