Repair & Upgrade Questions

Common Repair Questions

The question to ask is: does it do what you need right now?

If it runs what you use (Maplestory, Zoom, everyday work) without much trouble, there's no reason to replace it. Fix what's broken and move on.

It gets complicated when your goals change. Upgrading to run modern triple-A games usually starts with a new graphics card (and often a power supply upgrade to match it). If your processor is also due for replacement, it cascades further: new processor means new motherboard, which means new RAM and a new cooler. At that point you've replaced most of the PC, and a new build gives better value.

Tell us what you have and what you want it to do. We'll tell you which way makes more sense. We've talked customers out of new builds when they didn't need one, and into new builds when upgrading made no financial sense.

No. We've been doing this since 2018 and your data stays yours.

You don't have to take our word for it. If you'd rather not have your drives with us, remove them before drop-off or tell us when you come in and we'll do it together. We can diagnose most hardware problems without them. A failing power supply or bad RAM doesn't need your drives.

One thing to know upfront: if the issue is software, drivers, or the drive itself, we can't test that without it. Worth knowing before you drop it off.

Nothing. You take your PC back and pay nothing.

The only exception: if you used our courier service. We charge pickup and delivery separately because we completed that part of the service. The diagnosis itself? No charge.

We quote you first. You decide. No pressure.

We tell you. Before we start any work, we quote it.

If we find something you didn't come in for, we flag it, explain what it means, and tell you what happens if you leave it. The call is yours.

You'll be talking to the technician who found the issue, not someone passing along a report.

Message us. We treat it as the same case.

As long as it's within a reasonable window (a week, two weeks, sometimes a month), we pick up from where we left off. No fresh fee, no starting over.

If the same problem comes back, something wasn't caught the first time. We want to know what.

Common Upgrade Questions

First, figure out when it's slow.

If the whole PC drags (loading apps, booting, launching games) and you're still on a hard drive, that's the cause 9 times out of 10. Moving to an SSD (solid state drive) is the single most effective upgrade for any old PC. Boot times drop from minutes to seconds.

If it slows down under load and the fans get loud or the PC runs hot, it could be a cooling issue. Sometimes dried-out thermal paste on the processor is all it is. Cheap fix, big difference in day-to-day speed.

Tell us the symptoms. We'll tell you what to do first.

Depends what you're trying to unlock.

If one or two part changes get you there (say, a new graphics card to run triple-A games), upgrading makes sense. Faster and cheaper than a full new build.

It gets complicated when the changes cascade. Upgrading your processor usually means a new motherboard. New motherboard means new RAM. At that point you're replacing most of the PC, and a new build gives better value.

Send us your current specs and what you want to do. We'll tell you which path makes more sense. We've talked customers out of new builds when they didn't need one, and into new builds when upgrading made no financial sense.

Send us your specs and tell us what you use the PC for. We can spot the weak link straight away.

If you want to check yourself first: download MSI Afterburner, launch your game, and watch the usage bars. The component sitting at 100% while everything else has headroom is your bottleneck.

Once you know what it is, message us. We'll tell you if upgrading it is worth the cost.

If you're still on a hard drive, that's the answer. Moving your OS and games to an SSD (solid state drive) makes a bigger difference than almost any other single upgrade. Boot times drop from minutes to seconds. Every app launches faster.

After the SSD, it depends on what's slowing you down. Gaming is usually limited by your graphics card. Heavy multitasking or creative work is usually the processor or RAM.

Tell us what you have and what you want to do. We'll point you at the one change that makes the most sense.

You don't have to come to us.

We do 2-way courier islandwide. Pickup is $20, delivery back is $20 ($40 total). We arrange a time window that works for you and our own drivers handle it.

Prefer to drop off? Our workshop is at 1 Ubi View, Focus One Building. Message us first and we'll sort out the details.

What Our Customers Say

Google reviews from Singaporeans who've sent us their PCs.

★★★★★

Diagnosed for Free. Fixed the Same Day.

Brought my PC down on Monday for diagnostics and they got it fixed in less than a day. When asking for repair costs, they said no charges as they only ran diagnostics. Simply unheard of. Any other company would at least charge for consultation/man-hours.

★★★★★

Black Screen. Fixed Without Being Pushed to Buy New.

Tony listened and guided me with diagnosing the issue. He was not pushing me to buy a new computer but focused on accurately diagnosing the issue. He managed to guide me in fixing it and got my computer fully operational. A reputable company with honest employees.
★★★★★

They Found What I Missed — RAM, Not GPU.

Initially thought it was a GPU problem, but decided to take it to Mansa first for an inspection. They correctly identified the problem as a faulty RAM instead of the GPU. The repair process throughout was followed up closely which I appreciate.

Didn't Buy From Mansa. Didn't Matter. Fixed in 24 Hours.

Had an issue with my PC (purchased elsewhere) not starting. Within 24 hours, they identified the problem — a faulty cooler pump — and replaced it at an affordable price with no rip-offs. Very honest and transparent service!
