SilverStone RM31-MINI 3U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM31-MINI is a compact 3U rackmount server chassis supporting SSI-CEB, E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. Its 391mm depth, eight expansion slots, front 360mm radiator support and up to three internal drive positions suit rack-mounted workstations and specialised computing systems.

Who It Suits

• Server and workstation builders requiring larger motherboard support and eight expansion slots in a compact 3U chassis.
• Liquid-cooled rackmount builds needing front 120mm, 240mm or 360mm radiator mounting.
• System integrators requiring SFX/SFX-L PSU compatibility and up to three internal drive positions.

Not suitable for high-density hot-swap NAS builds or systems requiring standard ATX power supplies.

Before You Buy

• Verify rack clearance, motherboard dimensions and the 110mm maximum CPU cooler height before purchasing.
• Use an SFX/SFX-L PSU. Removing the 3.5" drive cage eliminates the specified 130mm PSU depth restriction; verify physical clearance.
• When installing an SFX PSU, ensure the ATX 24/20-pin cable is at least 450mm and the CPU 4+4-pin cable at least 700mm.

Can I use a standard ATX power supply in the RM31-MINI?

No. The RM31-MINI accepts only SFX or SFX-L PSUs due to depth constraints. A standard full-size ATX PSU will not fit. SFX PSUs are limited to 130mm depth unless you remove the 3.5" drive cage.

What radiator sizes can I fit in the front?

The RM31-MINI supports 120mm, 240mm, and 360mm front-mounted radiators. The front section also provides mounting positions for three 120mm fans. Check radiator thickness, fan clearance, and expansion card compatibility before installation.

How many hard drives can I install?

You can fit 2 x 3.5" drives, or 2 x 2.5" drives in the main cage, plus 1 additional 2.5" bay. So a maximum of 3 x 2.5" or 2 x 3.5" plus 1 x 2.5".
