SilverStone RM4A 4U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM4A is a 4U rackmount chassis for GPU servers built around a standard ATX power supply. It takes SSI-EEB boards, 8 expansion slots for cards up to 424mm, and a front 360mm radiator. Local Singapore warranty support through Mansa.

Who it suits

• If you want a GPU server without paying for redundant power, the RM4A uses a regular ATX PSU up to 255mm long.
• Heavy graphics cards are held by the included expansion card retainer, which SilverStone adds to stop sagging.
• Water-cooled workstation builders can install a front 360mm radiator, a 240mm + 120mm combination, or three separate 120mm radiators.
• Not for servers needing redundant power. RM4A supports PS2 (ATX) only; RM44 supports Mini Redundant and 2U Redundant PSUs (V3.0 or later).

Before you buy

• CPU cooler height is 137mm with the expansion card retainer installed, or 148mm without it.
• The 424mm card length applies only without front fans or radiators installed. A front radiator reduces it.
• All storage mounts are internal, accommodating two 3.5" drives or three 2.5" drives, plus four additional 2.5" drives, without hot-swap bays.

What is the difference between the RM4A and RM44?

Both support SSI-EEB motherboards, eight expansion slots, front radiators up to 360mm, and cards up to 424mm without front fans or radiators. The RM4A is 446mm deep and supports PS2 (ATX) power supplies only. The RM44 is 468mm deep and additionally supports Mini Redundant and 2U Redundant (V3.0 or later) power supplies.

Does the RM4A come with rack rails?

SilverStone lists the RMS05-22 slide rail as compatible. The spec sheet does not say rails are in the box, so treat them as separate unless we confirm otherwise.
