SilverStone RM53-502 5U Rackmount Server Chassis

SilverStone RM53-502 is a 5U rackmount chassis for dual-CPU and GPU servers that also need front drive bays. It takes SSI-EEB boards, CPU coolers up to 178mm, and has 2 x 5.25" bays plus room for a 360mm radiator. Local Singapore warranty support through Mansa.

Who it suits

• The two front 5.25" bays accommodate compatible 5.25" devices or can be configured for four 2.5" or two 3.5" drives.
• Dual-CPU server boards fit, with cooler clearance ranging from 101mm to 178mm depending on the motherboard and configuration.
• GPU builds get eight expansion slots and support cards up to 454mm long without front fans or radiators.
• Not ideal for high-density hot-swap NAS builds. The chassis has no dedicated hot-swap bays; consider the RM43-320-RS for larger hot-swappable arrays.

Before you buy

• Dual-CPU cooler clearance ranges from 101mm to 178mm depending on layout. Check SilverStone's manual for your motherboard.
• The 454mm graphics card clearance applies only without front fans or radiators installed. Front cooling components reduce available length.
• Primary PSU length is limited to 190mm with the 3.5" drive cage installed. A secondary SFX PSU up to 130mm occupies a 3.5" bracket.

What is the difference between the RM53-502 and RM51?

Both are 5U rackmount chassis with the same overall dimensions. The RM53-502 provides two front 5.25" bays and supports single-CPU coolers up to 178mm, with dual-CPU cooler clearance depending on configuration. The RM51 has no 5.25" bays and supports CPU coolers up to 181mm with its expansion-card retainer installed, or 192mm without it. The RM51 also includes two front 180mm fans.

Does the RM53-502 come with rack rails?

SilverStone lists the RMS05-22 sliding rail as compatible with the RM53-502. Rack rails are not confirmed as included. Please contact Mansa Computers to confirm availability before ordering.
