Onsite PC repair in Singapore: screen glitch diagnosis under warranty
Screen kept glitching. Cable swaps, a GPU driver reinstall, and a remote display test did not fix it.
Drove onsite, swapped the GPU to rule it out, then confirmed the fault was the customer's monitor.
Customer connected to a spare monitor. Screen works. Covered under warranty, no charge.
A customer needed onsite PC repair in Singapore after his screen started glitching. He was overseas, so his family helped our technician troubleshoot from home: swapped the display cable, reinstalled GPU drivers, and tested with a spare display. None of it stopped the glitch. We concluded the GPU was the likely fault and sent a technician over.
The customer's monitor had failed. The GPU and cables were fine throughout. Remote troubleshooting couldn’t fully confirm the cause because all tests were done on the same monitor. Once our technician arrived and spotted a second monitor, connecting it took under a minute to confirm the fault.
