PC motherboard replacement and diagnostics in Singapore
PC kept randomly shutting down and restarting during normal use
Diagnosed faulty motherboard through systematic testing, replaced with customer's replacement unit
PC runs stable, tested with stress test, no more random shutdowns
A PC that randomly shuts down during normal use can be caused by several hardware issues, including power instability, loose components, overheating, faulty RAM, a faulty graphics card, or a failing motherboard. In this case, the PC would shut down and restart unpredictably, so we tested the system step by step instead of replacing parts blindly.
The customer brought the PC into our store for diagnosis. Further testing eventually isolated the motherboard as the cause of the shutdown issue.
After testing the power supply, reseating the RAM and graphics card, replacing the motherboard, and running another stress test, the motherboard was confirmed as the issue. Once the replacement motherboard was installed and tested again with the customer’s own power supply, the PC no longer shut down automatically.

The power supply was tested first. After starting the PC, three fans failed to spin, so we continued checking key components.
The RAM and graphics card were reseated to rule out loose connections, but the system still continued to shut down.
The graphics card was removed so we could access the motherboard safely.
After replacing the motherboard, the PC turned on properly again. We then tested it with the customer’s own power supply and ran another stress test to confirm the shutdown issue was fully resolved.
