Groundbreaking Cooling
The Strix G16’s chassis and motherboard were designed to fit a full-width heatsink, with fins placed closer to the exhaust vents for better cooling. Built from three sections, it surrounds the motherboard with densely packed fins, offering 174,183mm² total surface area to maximize airflow. Unlike most gaming laptops with dual fans, the G16 adds a third fan to cool the GPU and VRAM. Combined with seven heatpipes and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on GPU, its cooling is exceptional.

Its standout is the ROG Nebula Display — a QHD 16:10 panel at 500 nits, 100% DCI-P3, and 3ms response time, with a 240Hz option featuring an Ambient Contrast Ratio (ACR) layer for reduced reflections and deeper contrast. It’s also offered with a Full HD 165Hz panel. Both include Dolby Vision, Adaptive-Sync, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio for immersive gaming.

ACR Technology
This year, we added two layers of Ambient Contrast Ratio film to the display, which reduces reflections by 55% and provides up to 4.5x better contrast, ensuring the image stays punchy, vivid, and accurate. A second layer boosts viewing angles for a 180° ultra-clear view, providing an image that looks just as good off-center as it does straight on. This machine doesn't just perform at a high level – it draws you into the visuals, with colors so realistic it’s as if you were right in the middle of the action.
