What Does an Onsite PC Upgrade Cover?

Depending on the scope of work, onsite PC upgrades can include case swaps, fan installs, AIO and cooler upgrades, RAM or storage upgrades, and system rebuilds. We come to your location with the right tools, so you do not need to transport the PC to our store.

The customer's existing case was getting old, but the hardware inside was still suitable for the case transfer. He wanted a cleaner, fresher setup with the Lian Li O11, plus 7 new fans and a new AIO.

What Was Needed

The customer wanted to reuse the existing motherboard, GPU, storage and power supply while moving the system into a new Lian Li O11. The rebuild also included a new AIO liquid cooler and 7 new case fans.

What We Checked First

  • Powered on the PC before starting and confirmed the system appeared to be working normally
  • Checked the CPU temperature, which was slightly above average
  • Confirmed the existing GPU, storage and PSU were being reused for the case transfer
  • Verified the new Lian Li O11 was compatible with the motherboard form factor
  • Counted internal USB headers on the motherboard to plan fan cable routing before installing

How We Did It

  1. Pre-check: Powered on the PC at the customer's home and confirmed the system appeared to be working normally. The CPU temperature was slightly above average before the upgrade.
  2. Full disassembly: Removed the reusable components from the old case, including the motherboard, GPU, storage and power supply, and prepared them for transfer into the new chassis.
  3. Case prep: Prepared the new Lian Li O11, routing PSU cables and planning fan positions before the components went in.
  4. 7-fan install: Installed 7 new Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCD 120 RGB Reverse Blade fans as part of the cooling and visual upgrade.
  5. New AIO install: Installed the new Lian Li HydroShift II LCD-S 360TL AIO liquid cooler as part of the rebuild.
  6. Full rebuild: Reinstalled all components into the Lian Li O11, reconnected every cable, and tidied cable management.
  7. Final test: Powered on the completed system and checked that the rebuilt PC and newly installed cooling components were working properly.
