Onsite PC warranty repair Singapore
Windows freezing and rear USB ports taking 5-10 minutes to detect peripherals
Diagnosed an issue tied to the high-resolution four-monitor setup; lowered two monitors from 2K to 1080p
All four monitors remain connected; USB peripherals connect instantly at the adjusted display resolution
Slow or unresponsive rear USB ports are not always caused by a faulty motherboard, USB port or Windows issue. In this case, the PC was connected to a high-resolution four-monitor setup, including an ultrawide display. Testing showed that the USB delay was tied to this high-resolution multi-monitor configuration. After the display setup was adjusted, the rear USB ports responded normally.
The PC itself was a Mansa Computers build purchased with a 3-year warranty. The customer reported that Windows was not responding consistently and the rear USB ports were taking around 5-10 minutes to connect peripherals. A call-out under the warranty was arranged and we went onsite to diagnose the issue.
Four high-resolution monitors were connected to the GPU, including a 5K ultrawide and two 2K displays. Testing pointed to the high-resolution multi-monitor configuration as the trigger for the issue rather than a failed USB port or motherboard. Lowering the resolution of two displays reduced the overall display load, after which the system and USB peripherals responded normally with all four monitors connected.

Our technician inspected the customer’s PC onsite after they reported inconsistent Windows response and rear USB peripherals taking several minutes to connect.
We checked the workstation and found four monitors connected, including one ultrawide display, creating a very high combined display resolution.
We tested the display setup to see whether changing the monitor configuration affected the USB response.
We lowered the resolution of the two upper monitors to 1920 × 1080 to reduce the overall display load on the system.
“In this case, adjusting the display configuration helped isolate the issue. After lowering the resolution of two displays, the USB response returned to normal while the customer kept all four monitors connected.”
Mansa ComputersAll four monitors remained connected after the resolution adjustment. The two 2K displays were reduced to 1080p while the ultrawide remained at 5K, and the customer's USB peripherals connected immediately afterward.
